Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run the marketplace:

• Account details: your name, email address and/or mobile number, country code and a password (stored only as a secure hash).
• Google or Facebook sign-in: if you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your account id with that provider, your name, your email address and your profile picture. We never receive your Google or Facebook password, and we do not post anything on your behalf.
• Profile: an optional profile picture and your country, city or preferred location.
• Listings: the ads you post, including title, description, price, photos, category details and the location you choose to show.
• Messages: chats you exchange with other users about listings.
• Activity: favourites, saved searches, notifications and promotions you buy for your ads.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and similar logs that keep the service secure and working.

• to create and secure your account and let you sign in, including with Google or Facebook;
• to publish your listings and show them to buyers;
• to let buyers and sellers contact each other;
• to send account messages such as email verification codes and important notices;
• to review listings, prevent fraud, spam and abuse, and enforce our Terms of use;
• to measure and improve the service, and to show advertising;
• to meet our legal obligations.

Your listings, the name on your profile, your profile picture and the location you choose for a listing are public. Your email address is never shown to other users. Your phone number is shown only when you choose to include it in a listing.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• service providers who host our servers, store images and send email or SMS for us, under contracts that require them to protect it;
• Google and Facebook, only to confirm your identity when you choose to sign in with them;
• advertising partners such as Google AdSense, which may use cookies to show and measure ads;
• authorities, when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of our users and of SouqNax.

We use your browser's storage and a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in and to remember your language and location. Advertising partners may set their own cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but some features, like staying signed in, may then stop working.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is open. Listings stay until you delete them or they expire. When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep certain records, for example payment records.

You can view and edit your profile at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@souqnax.com.

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords only as secure hashes and limit who can access personal data. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

SouqNax is not meant for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the date at the top and, for important changes, let you know on the site or by email.
